Executive Director, Association of Professional Dog Trainers (APDT)
Matt Varney is Executive Director of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers, serving as the chief staff officer to the APDT staff, while partnering with the board to advance the profession of dog training. Matt and his family share their home with two rescue dogs, a Boston Terrier, Sandy and a pug named Banks.
Prior to joining the APDT team, Matt served as Director for the Entrepreneurs Organization (EO), an association built to support business owners across the globe. Matt’s knowledge of the entrepreneurial world has helped him support APDT’s members, many of whom own their own businesses.
And before his time at EO, Matt served as a Director with the International Coaching Federation, working as part of the AI team from 2012-2019. Matt lives in Lexington, KY with his wife, daughters, and aforementioned furry family members.
